After their father's death, Ichiro Kuga, a struggling shōjo manga artist, becomes his two younger siblings’ guardian. To support them, he rents out rooms in his apartment complex and works tirelessly on his manga. Low sales and looming deadlines make his situation dire until Shiori Goshiki, a talented novice artist, becomes his assistant. Together, they navigate this industry’s challenges, but Ichiro, thinking a pen is stuck in Shiro, gets pricked by her thorn and they end up engaged. Now Ichiro must balance his new relationship with Shiori as well as managing his responsibilities and pursuing his passion for manga.
